Before installing this filter, I would fight the urge to drink water frequently. The city claimed ""the were fixing something"" as the water had a faint smell of bass. I believe at one point they were pumping it directly from a local pond. Once this filter was installed, the brown tint to the water was diminished and the water returned to being crystal clear and odorless. Almost like it came directly from a cold spring. I have tried substitutes in the past, but this filter is the SH*t. I look forward to filling my cup with this delicacy of refreshment. It has a certain glow as it spews from the refrigerator. I am now fully hydrated and feeling refreshed.

An identical copy of one I spent $10 more on at a department store. Arrived on time. Perfect fit for my Whirlpool refrigerator. Thanks Clatterans.

These are easy to install and fit perfectly in my refrigerator. I have a whirlpool side by side. I have never had any trouble installing the filter or with leaks etc. It does the job- water tastes good and I have the peace of mind knowing my family is drinking pure water. When you install it, the water filter light turns back to green and you can forget about it until the light turns yellow or red. They seem to last a long time so it's not a purchase I have to make too often even though our water dispenser gets a lot of daily use. The water has a good taste and no smell. The ice also has no odd smell when I use this filter. I would highly recommend this Whirlpool refrigerator filter and would definitely suggest buying it from Clatterans to save both time and money.

Tastes great. I've tried some alternative cheaper filters and they tasted bad. Ponied up the extra cost and got great results. I guess you get what you pay for. I tried to spend less but my water quality suffered.
