      Well, at least I THINK so - I wouldn't know for sure unless I ran my own tests. But it does remove the taste from our drinking water, doesn't leak, and works so well we don't have to think about it. These are the cheapest price.

      Fits same as my old Samsung filter. Works as it should, couldn't tell you how long it will last, but for half the price, it's worth trying! Shipping was faster than it was saying so that's another plus!

      The filter looked the same as the original (external appearance, O-rings, shape, etc). Turned off the water to refrigerator, easily removed original filter, easily installed the replacement. Turned water on and ran through 3-4 gallons. All seems fine after a few days. I have no way to tell how the actual filtering compares - lead, particulates, etc.

      What can you say about a fridge filter. It does its job, it does it well, and my fridge tells me when I need a new one. It's easy to install and to dispose of. If you need this filter specifically, accept no substitutes and buy it.

      Easy to install works perfect with my refrigerator. The appliance repairman said at home he just resets the fridge monitor for the filter and uses it until the water flow starts to slow down. Save a bunch of $$$ changing about once a year instead of every 6 months. So I'm trying it now 8 months and counting!

      Water filter fits the fridge as expected and works well. However at this price, I could probably just buy bottled water for cheaper. Since we're supposed to replace this thing every 6 months, then that means I'm paying approx. $6/month. At my supermarket, that buys me over 6 gallons. If you have a big family, then probably you'll save some money, but if your household is small, there is no big difference.
