      I have a newer Samsung (RS22HDHPNBC) so the filter fits perfectly. That said, I find I still need to use a pitcher to get that last bit of chlorine taste out of my water (Thanks our local water department). This filter is a huge improvement over my need to filter twice using a PUR pitcher filter, so I give it a thumbs up.

      This filter works well, but it seemed like I needed to replace the original almost exactly 6 months after purchasing the fridge. We only use the water filter for ice. We do not drink water from the fridge very often. Hope this one will last for six months.

      Forget the stores. You can buy 2 here for the price of 1 at the bigger stores. This is the real authentic Samsung filter. The cheaper brands from what I have read filter the water so it tastes OK, They filter the chemicals and metals in the water. You also don't have to force the filter in. No leaks, Taste great. I will have another one. It is that time.

      I purchased this Samsung water filter a little over 6 months ago, and it's still going strong. It's filtering well, and shows no signs of premature failure or wear. We're a family of 4, and while we don't drink water EXCLUSIVELY, every glass of water that we drink is filtered via our refrigerator filter. We have guests over for dinner at least once a week, and my wife works at home. I'm just telling you that to let you know that I'd consider our family a normal family... just to give you an idea of the type of filter-life-expectancy you should experience if you have a similar family.
