50022 Series
41169 Series
51123 Series
50029 Series
1. Locate the water filter in the top-right corner of the refrigerator compartment and open the cover door. The filter will be released and then be ejected as the door is opened.
2. When the door is completely open, pull the filter straight out.
NOTE: There may be some water in the filter. Some spilling may occur. Use a towel to wipe up any spills.
3. Take the new filter out of its packaging and remove the covers from the O-rings. Be sure the O-rings are still in place after the covers are removed.
4. With the arrow pointing to the left (toward the filter cover door’s hinge), align the new filter with the filter housing and slide it into place. The filter cover door will automatically begin to close as the new filter is inserted.
5. Close the filter cover door completely in order to snap the filter into place. You may need to press hard.
6. Run water from the dispenser for 5 minutes at .5 gpm (about 2½ gallons) to clear the system and prevent sputtering.
NOTE: Initial rate may be slower than expected. Full rate should be restored within 24-36 hour
7. Reset the “replace filter” light, if needed, by holding the reset button for three seconds.

Had some problems after installation. The pressure would drop, causing the water dispenser valve to drop in and out, little flow. Pulled the filter out, reinstalled after shaking it pretty hard a few times and so far no more issues. Water still tastes good, so I think this Whirlpool Refrigerator Water Filter 1 still works.

Genuine filter. I was a bit surprised to see these great W10295370A replacement filter for my whirlpool
refrigerator. I'm happy with
the quality and the water still taste great. Only rated 4 stars due to the fact
that these filters' shipping are a bit slow.

This model replaces the older style and flows water faster... a good thing.
Only complaint is that it is not much easy for me to install this Kenmore 9930 Water Filter.
Delivery was fine.

How often should you replace your water filter?
- On average, most filters last 6 months or 300 gallons depending on your water quality and usage.
How do I turn off my filter light to reset?
- If the filter light will not reset after following specific instructions from your owner manual, contact your refrigerator manufacturer.
Do the gaskets (o-rings) on the filters need to be lubricated?
- Most water filters come with pre-lubricated O-rings
- If you are having trouble installing the filter, we have found that a small amount of vegetable oil applied to the O-ring will ease installation and removal of the filter.
I just installed my filter; do I need to run water through it before I drink the water? If so, how much?
- You should run 3 gallons of water through your filter in order to flush it and make sure that it is thoroughly wet. Do not run the 3 gallons continuously, instead run the water for a few minutes and stop in between. Get a gallon water container, and pour and refill 3 times!
