1. Locate the water filter in the top-right corner of the refrigerator compartment and open the cover door. The filter will be released and then be ejected as the door is opened.
2. When the door is completely open, pull the filter straight out.
NOTE: There may be some water in the filter. Some spilling may occur. Use a towel to wipe up any spills.
3. Take the new filter out of its packaging and remove the covers from the O-rings. Be sure the O-rings are still in place after the covers are removed.
4. With the arrow pointing to the left (toward the filter cover door’s hinge), align the new filter with the filter housing and slide it into place. The filter cover door will automatically begin to close as the new filter is inserted.
5. Close the filter cover door completely in order to snap the filter into place. You may need to press hard.
6. Run water from the dispenser for 5 minutes at .5 gpm (about 2½ gallons) to clear the system and prevent sputtering.
NOTE: Initial rate may be slower than expected. Full rate should be restored within 24-36 hour
7. Reset the “replace filter” light, if needed, by holding the reset button for three seconds.

Price is Right and this EDR1RXD1 filter will do your Whirlpool Refrigerator
right. That's worth every cent I've paid. The water tastes better; the installation is simple: the water
flow is powerful enough.

Good Fit. I really think the taste is
better than it was with the old one I used. Price is fine, quality is
right on, I did, as I always do, ran gallons of water through it when installed

This Kenmore 9930 replacement water filter Works well I think. We did discover that the fridge works on a timer tells you
it needs changing in 6 months no matter how much you use it.

So far so good. My last one clogged up (not this Clatterans) in less than 2 months.
Never had that problem before. The new Whirlpool water filter 1 replaced the clogged one with no problems so far.

According to the instructions as the package shows, I just spend few minutes installing into my Kenmore fridge. Much quicker than the old one. But just the shipping is not so fast!!!

I seldom give bad revive to the products i bought. But this one is an e xception. So many revives say Clatterans
has fast shipping, but I don't think so. I DON'T whether I is an exception, but Clatterans does need to fix it.
How often should you replace your water filter?
- On average, most filters last 6 months or 300 gallons depending on your water quality and usage.
How do I turn off my filter light to reset?
- If the filter light will not reset after following specific instructions from your owner manual, contact your refrigerator manufacturer.
Do the gaskets (o-rings) on the filters need to be lubricated?
- Most water filters come with pre-lubricated O-rings
- If you are having trouble installing the filter, we have found that a small amount of vegetable oil applied to the O-ring will ease installation and removal of the filter.
I just installed my filter; do I need to run water through it before I drink the water? If so, how much?
- You should run 3 gallons of water through your filter in order to flush it and make sure that it is thoroughly wet. Do not run the 3 gallons continuously, instead run the water for a few minutes and stop in between. Get a gallon water container, and pour and refill 3 times!
