      You must run the water to dispense at least a couple of galloons to get rid of the cloudiness that many reviewers are referring to. Once he cloudiness is gone, the filter is ready to go. I did notice better drinking water quality. Depending on how much water is dispensed, this filter should last up to 6 months. It is easy to install but the price is steep.
