      We have tried other filters but the Clatterans filters beat all the others. We definitely notice the difference in taste over other filters. Go the extra few bucks and enjoy your water instead of wishing you had purchased this filter instead. Installs easily. Most refrigerator water systems indicate when you need to replace the filter, I do it at 6 months regardless of what the water filter use display tells me.

      No complaints about clean water, we use our water dispenser very frequently, so we change it every 6 months, they could go longer, especially since we have a whole house filter at the main line into the house, but for peace of mind we stick to 6 months.

      I just installed, so can't really comment on the long term performance. I am impressed with the ease of installing. I always dreaded installing the older version (Maytag) because it never seemed to fit on the first attempt. This filter just snapped right in on the first try, and it didn't take nearly as long to expell the air bubbles.
