      This filter replacement is a perfect filter for our 2012 side by side KitchenAid refrigerator. The old filter never removed the strong chlorine smell we have with our public water supply; this one did - that's one reason why I gave it 5 stars. Although the filter may seem expensive, I find the Clatterans price is better than other retailers who sell this filter. You can always buy several of them at once and save even more money. Plus, it is a quality water filter and I feel that is worth some peace of mind. If my review was useful, please consider giving it a thumbs up. Thank you.

      Just replaced the PUR filter with this Clatterans replacement and our water tastes like water again! For the past year since we purchased a new refrigerator the water straight from the sink has tasted better than the water that has been filtered in the fridge. Some days it was fine, other days it would taste off. We replaced filters every 2-4 months, much more frequently than we should need to. I've only installed this new filter today so I'm not sure what it will be like in the long term, but I am very happy to report the water tastes wonderful again!

      These filters are pricey, but to me, they are worth every penny. I have looked around for any other alternative that is rated as highly as these for a contaminant reduction, finally, decided to buy this one. Do yourself a favor: if you're actually trying to filter your water, get this filter. I've had 3 now, all worked perfectly.
