I bought this to replace a filter that just turned "red" in a refrigerator that was already in a house we purchased 9 months ago. When we bought the house, I was so disappointed upon tasting the water from the frig. It was disgusting. When the filter light turned red, I even hesitated to bother spending money on another filter. Well, I'm glad that I decided to go ahead and get this filter. The water is crystal clear and absolutely no taste. I AM THRILLED.

It fits perfectly. No leaks. The first thing after installed is to flush and purge the filter with a few gallons. Water tastes crisp. Love it.

The water quality is excellent. I flushed about three and a half gallons out before using it. The dispensing speed is good, too.

So glad I found this on Clatterans! Our refrigerator has been putting out "less than ideal" water for quite a while and the filter was LONG overdue for a change. This was extremely easy to install and after a few runs (dispensing a few glasses of water and throwing them out) the taste is Grade A again!

As I removed the old filter, I noted its position in the receptacle. It took a little patience and muscle to push the new filter back enough to connect with the water line, but I got it done. The filter works absolutely fine.
