Replaced my old PUR filter (W10193691) with this one and I have not noticed any weird taste or smell in the water that other reviewer's have mentioned. Plus it's half the price of the old filter!

Fit our Kenmore perfectly with no leaks. No detectable decrease in water pressure at dispenser. It seems to do a good job in filtering water as it tastes much better than what comes out of faucet. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Will probably buy again when time comes to change it again.

Our water tastes pretty great to begin with so that's probably why we didn't notice a difference between this new filter (whirlpool 4396841) and the previous model. I can't say if it helps bad water but I can say it doesn't take anything away from already good water. And I'm very picky with water since it's the only thing I drink other than tea and coffee.

I bought this to use with my Whirlpool fridge. It was easy to install. Per the packaging instructions, I ran 4 gallons of water through the filter before drinking. It sputtered a bit in the beginning but that is normal. The flow of the water is great and it tastes good to me! Will gladly purchase this product again and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a water filter.

I used to use PUR W10177635, too expensive for me to shop on the original PUR shop, service is not so good. Now I tried this, does have a taste and I flushed 2 gallons through it. May depend on different preferences.

We purchased this whirlpool filter 3 for our vacation home refrigerator after trying other replacements. Delivery was fast and the product works better than expected. The water tastes better! Highly recommend and we bought another for the next time we need a replacement !
