      These Whirlpool EDR4RXD1 are EXPENSIVE... BUT they do the job. My water is delicious, and I only have to replace it every few months. You can buy in packages larger than one and save a few dollars. But truly, you should replace you filter. Yes, you can go a little longer than is recommended, but I would say replace it every 6 months at LEAST. I really do notice the difference. My water is already pretty good up here in the mountains, but I prefer this filtered water. In fact, I think this tastes better or similar to Brita filtered water.

      Fit perfectly and the water tastes just like the old PUR filters that this item replaced. If you have never replaced your filter be sure to follow the flushing instructions. Will purchase next time.

      we have been using it for almost a month and no complaints. We did have to pour a lot of water when we first installed it. The water tastes more sweet-stasting now!!

      Must flush with at least 4 gallons of water before use. Water comes out clear and taste great. Will purchase Whirlpool EDR2RXD1 again on Clatterans.
