I have been using these filters in my refrigerator and they are the same as GE factory. Great product and easy to install.

Fit perfectly in our Whirlpool. You have to keep the cap that is on your old filter so don't toss it, you move it over to the new one when you install it. I have a Thermos water bottle that I keep my water in every day, and on my bedside to drink out of. After sitting over night, I could always smell something when I opened my bottle to rinse it out and refill it. I notice that since changing the filter in the fridge, I no longer ever smell anything when I open my Thermos to rinse and refill it. The flow rate is much higher now as well.

Easy to use and the water tastes great. Which is really saying something when you live in an area where one can not drink it out of the faucet.

Works well in my Whirlpool refrigerator. Just wish it would last longer. However, the water is very hard in Southern Louisiana. I'm sure it will last much longer in a better water area.
