Why pay prices for an authentic piece? It's a filter for heaven's sake. Save money & buy these, they work just the same. It's like buying parts for your car. Some people spend the extra money on genuine parts, ok if you want to.

Priced a little high but seems to work well enough. It's been six months and it's almost time to replace. I'm considering whether to try this brand again? Will update my review once I decide.

Would buy it again and will have to in another 6 months. The Clatterans water filter replacement, no muss no fuss. Was 15.00 less than local hardware store.

Same as what came with the refrigerator. We go through such ice and water that I have to change ours about every two months. Yes: You do have to run about 2 to 3 gallons of water after changing filters to get good, clear water.

The water and ice with this filter taste great and that is why I gave it five stars. In my opinion, you can save yourself the web surfing time and just get this filter if it fits your refrigerator. My old filter was stuck in the up position and I could not get a grip on it to remove it. I took a small hammer and tapped the filter on the side at the rear and it came loose so I could pull the filter downward and twist it counter-clockwise to remove it. It took more effort than I expected to twist off but that may not be typical. Twist the new filter on clockwise, push it up and close the cover. Run water for two minutes to purge the filter. Enjoy the clean tasty water.
